Finally done with the greenhouse.
We decided to get a kit. Not because we can't swing a hammer — because the kit came with the polycarbonate panels already sized, plus the cedar frame pieces that would have eaten a weekend of measuring if we'd chased them piecemeal. Three boxes on the driveway. Instructions that mostly held up. A couple of "hold this while I tighten that" moments that needed two people.
What we ended up with is a walk-in BlueWish 6×12 with a cedar frame, 6mm polycarbonate panels, two adjustable roof vents, and a door that latches. Light enough to work in. Stout enough that a Tennessee wind gust doesn't make you nervous every time the weather app lights up. Overall footprint is about 6×12 feet and tall enough to walk in without ducking like you're in a pup tent.
"Done" here means the walls are up, the roof is on, and the door latches. The inside is still a work in progress — Kris built pallet benches so seedlings aren't sitting on the dirt, and Bud's sawdust found a second life as path fill and then we put a gravel floor inside. The greenhouse is the shell. The growing system is the next chapter.
